Winner Announcement
Dear DevFest Hackathon Participants,
What a week — and what a finish.
Thank you for being part of the first GDG DevFest AI Hackathon in Linz. Over the course of the hackathon, we saw a broad range of ideas, approaches, and levels of maturity — exactly what we expect and value in an open, exploratory format like this. What mattered most was the willingness to build, test, learn, and put ideas out there.
Teams worked on challenges spanning education, sustainability, and mobility, turning concepts into working prototypes under real-time pressure. The hackathon was as much about experimentation and learning as it was about outcomes.

Feel free to share them — and your own hackathon story or project — on social media. When posting, we’d appreciate it if you tag GDG Linz and Young AI Leaders Linz so we can help amplify your work.
🏆 Project Recognition & Results
Following the hackathon, the teams selected by the jury were invited to a final on-site session at Dynatrace HQ. As part of the program, participants took part in a company tour, a get-together and exchange with Gordon Meyer, Director AI Product Innovation at Dynatrace, and a final pitch session, giving the teams another opportunity to present their ideas and showcase their work to the people present on site.
Based on the jury’s evaluation, the following projects were formally recognized:
🥇 The New Hire – Dev Early Career Onboarding Experience
🥈 Uptum – AI-native platform for tutors
🥉 Codor – Intelligent Programming Education Platform
We also want to acknowledge the many other teams that submitted projects and contributed to the overall experience. Each project added to the diversity of ideas and perspectives that made the hackathon what it was.
